Circuit/System Description
When the ignition is turned ON, the rear object sensor control module performs a self-test to verify if a critical malfunction exists within the system. During the power-up mode, the rear object sensor control module checks for a valid calibration data set.
Conditions for Running the DTC
* DTC B1325 is not set
* Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts
Conditions for Setting the DTC
A valid calibration is not detected upon module power-up.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* Rear parking assist system is disabled.
* The rear object sensor control module commands the red indicator ON.
* The rear object sensor control module sends a serial data message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display SERVICE PARK ASSIST message in the driver information center (DIC) and a chime will sound.
Conditions for Clearing
* The DTC will transition to history when the fault is no longer present.
* A history DTC will clear after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles.

Circuit/System Verification
Verify that DTC B1008 is not set.
If DTC is set, program the rear object sensor control module. If DTC resets, replace the rear object sensor control module.
Repair Instructions
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification (Verification Tests) after completing the diagnostic procedure.
