1 Engine Control Module (ECM)

Procedure

  1. Record the current engine oil life percentage and use a scan tool to update the NEW ECM, if replacing.
  2. Disconnect the ECM harness connectors. The ECM harness connectors are equipped with locking levers. Rotate the levers upward to the connectors to disengage the connector.
  3. Disengage the ECM bracket retaining tabs.
  4. If replacing, program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References .
