Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the front floor console transmission shifter trim plate assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Transmission Shift Opening Trim Plate Replacement (Left Hand Drive Automatic Trans) or Front Floor Console Transmission Shift Opening Trim Plate Replacement (Left Hand Drive Manual Transmission) or Front Floor Console Transmission Shift Opening Trim Plate Replacement (Right Hand Drive Automatic Trans) or Front Floor Console Transmission Shift Opening Trim Plate Replacement (Right Hand Drive Manual Transmission) .
  2. Remove the instrument panel trim plate applique - center. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique Replacement - Center (Left Hand Drive) or Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique Replacement - Center (Right Hand Drive) .
  3. Remove the instrument panel trim plate applique - right side. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique Replacement - Right Side (Left Hand Drive) or Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique Replacement - Right Side (Right Hand Drive) .
1 Instrument Panel Upper Cover
Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Cover Replacement (Left Hand Drive) or Instrument Panel Upper Trim Cover Replacement (Right Hand Drive) .
2 AM/FM Stereo and Clock and Audio Disc Player Radio Control Screw (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to.

Tighten:Β  2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

3 AM/FM Stereo and Clock and Audio Disc Player Radio Control Assembly

Procedure

  1. Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool in order to release the retainer clips securing the AM/FM Stereo and Clock and Audio Disc Player Radio Control Assembly to the instrument panel.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connections.
  3. When replacing the AM/FM Stereo and Clock and Audio Disc Player Radio Control Assembly, transfer all necessary components.
  4. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.

Tip:Β  Wire harness for the radio control assembly could get trapped and interfere with storage bin function. Please note harness routing during installation and perform functional check on components to ensure proper operation after component replacement.
