LATCH REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ASH TRAY
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the screw behind the ashtray assembly.
2. Pull out the ashtray assembly.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Open the ashtray door.
5. Push the ashtray latch retaining tabs (1) with a small flat-bladed tool to release it from the ashtray assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the ashtray latch (1) to the ashtray assembly.
2. Ensure that the ashtray door functions properly.
3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the ashtray assembly. Secure with the ashtray screw.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (17 lb in).
