Removal Procedure
2005 Cadillac CTS VSECTION Removal Procedure
NOTE:
Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice
in Cautions and Notices.
- Remove the driver side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
- Disconnect the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the clutch master cylinder push rod from the clutch pedal pin.
- Remove the clutch fluid reservoir retaining bolt.
- Remove the clutch fluid reservoir from the fender reinforcement.
- Remove the coolant surge tank mounting bolts and position the coolant surge tank out of the way. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement (LP1, LY7) or Surge Tank Replacement (LS6) in Engine Cooling.
IMPORTANT:
It is not necessary to drain the coolant or disconnect the coolant lines from the surge tank.
