Knock Sensor Module Replacement
Removal Procedure

1. Remove the PCM (3) from the vehicle.
2. Remove the two KS Module cover screws.

3. Grasp the KS Module tabs with your thumb and finger.
4. Squeeze the tabs together.
5. Pull the KS Module straight up.
Installation Procedure

1. Remove the two KS Module cover screws and remove cover (If not previously removed).

2. Hold the KS Module with your thumb and finger.
3. Insert the KS Module straight down into the PCM through the access opening.
4. Press the KS Module firmly into the PCM connector.
Important: Ensure there is a good seal between access cover and the PCM.

5. Place the KS Module cover (1) on the PCM (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the two mounting screws.
Tighten the cover screws to 5.1 N.m (45 lb in).
7. Install the PCM (3).

Knock Sensor Module Service:
1. Remove the PCM (3) from the vehicle.
