Ignition Module Installation
1998 Cadillac Seville SLS V8-4.6L VIN YSECTION Ignition Module Installation
1. Position the ignition module on the right camshaft cover.
2. Install the ignition module retaining bolts.
^ Tighten the ignition module retaining bolts to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.).
3. If necessary, connect the correct number spark plug wire to its corresponding terminal on the ignition module and spark plug.
4. The right bank wires must be routed as shown to prevent possible misfires.
5. Route the left bank spark plug wires as shown to prevent wire damage.
6. The left bank wires must be secured in the retaining features formed into the intake manifold.
7. Install the intake manifold sight shield with four nuts.
^ Tighten the intake manifold sight shield nuts to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.).
