REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable SIR. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the console (3).
3. Remove right insulator panel.
4. Remove the IP endcaps.
5. Remove the side window air outlets.
6. Remove the IP upper trim pad (1).
7. Remove the passenger side SIR inflator module.
8. Remove the right IP accessory trim plate.
9. Remove the IP cluster.
10. Remove the IP center trim plate.
11. Remove the radio.
12. Remove the lap cooler duct.
13. Remove the knee bolster.
14. Remove the steering column.
15. Remove headlamp switch In Lighting Systems.
16. Remove fuel door/rear compartment release switch (2) from the IP.
17. Remove the IP storage compartment.
18. Remove fasteners (10 total) from IP retainer to IP carrier. One fastener is located in the opening for the fuel/rear compartment release switch.
19. Remove IP retainer from the carrier, feed wiring through openings as necessary.
20. Disconnect the inside air temperature sensor electrical connector.
Complete removal.
21. Transfer all necessary components.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Partially install the IP retainer. Connect the inside air temperature sensor electrical connector.
2. Install IP retainer to the carrier, feed wiring through openings as removed.
3. Install fasteners from IP retainer to IP carrier.
4. Install the IP storage compartment.
5. Install the fuel/rear compartment release switch (2).
6. Install headlamp switch in Lighting Systems.
7. Install the steering column.
8. Install the knee bolster.
9. Install the lap cooler duct.
10. Install the radio.
11. Install the IP center trim plate.
12. Install the IP cluster (2).
13. Install the right IP accessory trim plate.
14. Install the passenger side SIR inflator module.
15. Install the IP upper trim pad (2).
16. Install the side window air outlets (2).
17. Install the IP endcaps.
18. Install right insulator panel.
19. Install the console.
20. Enable SIR. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
