1997 Cadillac Seville SLS V8-4.6L VIN YSECTION Chime Request Function
When the PZM requests a driver warning or status message to be displayed on the IPC it Also requests a chime appropriate for that message (when Applicable), but the IPC sends the Actual request to the IRC, with one exception. If the PZM requests the "Seat Belt" indicator to be turned "ON," it Also sends a Class 2 request directly to the IRC for a chime. The IRC then responds to the chime request by producing the requested chime.
