1997 Cadillac Seville SLS V8-4.6L VIN YSECTION Afterblow Function
The AfterBlow function is used to remove condensation from the evaporator core following a drive Cycle or if the vehicle is being placed in "Storage Mode." The PZM will begin a timed delay after the ignition switch makes a transition from the "RUN" position. After the delay time elapses, the PZM enables the RAP relay (to provide power for the HVAC Blower) and sends a serial data message to the ACM to turn the HVAC Blower on. Upon completing the AfterBlow function, the PZM turns the HVAC Blower off and then disables the RAP relay (if no other conditions require that it remain active).
