Water Deflector

WATER DEFLECTOR

A waterproof deflector is used to seal the door inner panel and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured to the door inner panel with a fastener and pressure sensitive adhesive located on the outboard surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as needed to service door components.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Door trim panel.
2. Speaker (if equipped).
3. Water deflector by removing fastener, peeling deflector from door inner panel and removing waterproof tape.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Fastener to upper rear of water deflector. This will serve as a guide to position water deflector on door panel.
2. Attach water deflector to door panel.
3. Secure any loose areas of water deflector with waterproof tape.
4. Speaker (if equipped).
5. Door trim panel.
