Essential Tool J 43485 Power Steering Bleeder Adapter

1990-99 Passenger Cars and Trucks
A new essential tool, J 43485 Power Steering Bleeder Adapter, has been sent to all GM Dealers. This new adapter can be used on all power steering systems, including all past models, current models and electric vehicles.
A unique feature of this tool is the ability to determine if the power steering system is sealed properly before or after a system repair. This tool also ensures the power steering system is properly bled of all air.
This adapter should be used any time a power steering component is replaced or repaired in a vehicle. This would include power steering hoses, power steering gears, power steering pumps and components that require power steering fluid assist (such as Hydroboost replacement).

It is important to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for the type of power steering fluid when adding fluid to any power steering system.
