TP Sensor Learn Procedure
1996 Cadillac Eldorado V8-4.6L VIN 9SECTION TP Sensor Learn Procedure
The Throttle Position (TP) Learn Procedure should be performed when:
^ The TP sensor is replaced.
^ The throttle body is replaced.
^ The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is replaced.
^ If TP Sensor Learn is reset.
To perform TP Learn Procedure:
^ Turn ignition switch to "ON" (engine not running).
^ Wait 30 seconds.
^ Turn ignition switch to "Lock".
^ Wait 30 seconds.
^ The TP sensor is replaced.
^ The throttle body is replaced.
^ The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is replaced.
^ If TP Sensor Learn is reset.
To perform TP Learn Procedure:
^ Turn ignition switch to "ON" (engine not running).
^ Wait 30 seconds.
^ Turn ignition switch to "Lock".
^ Wait 30 seconds.
