Intermittent Operation of Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) in Very Cold Temperatures (Replace Module Assembly)

1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham

Condition
The RKE may be intermittent at temperatures below 20°F (-29°C). Operation should return to normal at higher temperatures.
Cause
An internal condition in the module does not allow the module to receive the signal from the transmitter.
Correction
Replace the module with new P/N 10269728, following the instructions in the Service Manual, Section 9K. Remember that after the module is replaced, BOTH transmitters must be reprogrammed at the same time.
Part Availability
Parts are expected to be available on 10/10/94 at GMSPO.
