Timing Light
1993 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham V8-350 5.7LSECTION Timing Light
PURPOSE
The timing light is a specially designed strobe light, used to check the timing of ignition spark in relation to crankshaft position and cam position.
OPERATION
While the timing light is connected to the number 1 cylinder spark plug, the timing light flashes each time the ignition system "fires" the number 1 plug. The strobe effect makes it possible to view cam and crank position at the instant ignition occurs.
NOTE: Follow the manufacturer's instructions for connection and operation of timing light.
