EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR Replacement:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Air cleaner.
2. EGR Valve vacuum hose at valve.
3. 2 nuts.
4. EGR valve from manifold.
INSPECT
^ EGR passages in the intake manifold for deposits.
^ EGR for deposits and binding.
INSTALL
1. Cleaned or replacement EGR valve on intake manifold using new gasket.
2. Attaching nuts. Torque nuts to 22 Nm (16 ft lb).
3. Vacuum hose to valve.
4. Air cleaner.
