DIAGNOSIS
When any condition is suspected to be caused by or related to the 4.6L ignition control system, the first step in diagnosis should be to check for stored PCM trouble codes. Diagnose all trouble codes before further action is taken. If no trouble codes are stored and the condition is still present, refer to chart 1, "Ignition System check", in this section. This chart will refer to other charts in this section.
