BCM Snapshot Test
1991 Cadillac Seville STSSECTION BCM Snapshot Test
- Selecting the Snapshot test type while in BCM system level allows up to 3 snapshots, recorded at time of setting BCM trouble codes, to be recalled. A snapshot can also be recorded upon demand.
- Selecting snapshot (pushing HI button) while in BCM system, results in display of BXXX, where XXX is 3-digit trouble code. See Fig 1
. When selecting snapshot test type, there are 4 available options.
- Pressing OFF button will stop the test type selection process and return the display to the next available system selection.
- Pressing LO button allows scrolling through of BCM trouble codes list for snapshots stored in memory. After last BCM code (or third, if more than 3 codes are set), pressing LO button results in the display of TAKE BCM SNAPSHOT? message. Pressing LO button again will return to the first BXXX SNAPSHOT? display.
- Pressing HI button displays either SNAP DATA? or BCM SNAP INPUTS? message, and selects the displayed test. The display is now controlled as it would be for non-snapshot data and inputs displays; however, all values and status information represents memorized vehicle conditions.
- Pressing the HI button with SNAPSHOT displayed will again display the SNAPSHOT TAKEN message to indicate new information has been stored in memory.
