1983 Cadillac Eldorado V8-350 5.7L DSLSECTION Oil Consumption Remedy

Some V8-350 diesel engines may exhibit excessive oil consumption, low compression and/or excessive blowby. These conditions may be caused by stuck or frozen piston rings. To correct the above mentioned problem, proceed as follows:
1. With engine warm, remove all glow plugs from cylinders.
2. Using top engine cleaner Part No. 1050002, or equivalent, divide contents of can equally into each cylinder. Allow engine to soak for 24 hours.
3. Crank engine with glow plugs removed to expel excess cleaner.
4. Install glow plugs and start engine.
