Circuit/System Verification
- Ignition ON.
- Verify the scan tool Brake Pedal Applied parameter changes between Active and Inactive while pressing and releasing the brake pedal.
- If the parameter does not change
Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Malfunction.
- Go to next step: If the parameter changes
- If the parameter does not change
- Verify the left stop lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Left Stop Lamp ON and OFF with a scan tool.
- If the left stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Stop Lamps Malfunction
- Go to next step: If the left stop lamp turns ON and OFF
- If the left stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
- Verify the right stop lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Right Stop Lamp ON and OFF with a scan tool.
- If the right stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Stop Lamps Malfunction.
- Go to next step: If the right stop lamp turns ON and OFF
- If the right stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
- Verify the left auxiliary tail/stop lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the E5LC Tail/Stop Lamp - Auxiliary Left ON and OFF with a scan tool.
- If the left auxiliary tail/stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Stop Lamps Malfunction - Auxiliary.
- Go to next step: If the left auxiliary tail/stop lamp turns ON and OFF
- If the left auxiliary tail/stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
- Verify the right auxiliary tail/stop lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the E5RC Tail/Stop Lamp - Auxiliary Right ON and OFF with a scan tool.
- If the right auxiliary tail/stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Stop Lamps Malfunction - Auxiliary.
- Go to next step: If the right auxiliary tail/stop lamp turns ON and OFF
- If the right auxiliary tail/stop lamp does not turn ON and OFF
- Verify the left and right auxiliary stop lamps turn ON and OFF when opening and closing the rear compartment lid.
- If the left and right auxiliary stop lamps do not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Power Folding Top Malfunction
- Go to next step: If the left and right auxiliary stop lamps turn ON and OFF
- If the left and right auxiliary stop lamps do not turn ON and OFF
- Verify the center high mounted stop lamp turns ON and OFF when commanding the Center Brake Lamp ON and OFF with a scan tool.
- If the center high mounted stop does not turn ON and OFF
Refer to Center High Mount Stop Lamp Malfunction.
- Go to next step: If the center high mounted stop turns ON and OFF
- If the center high mounted stop does not turn ON and OFF
- All OK.
