Circuit/System Testing
2013 Buick Regal Turbo Premium, Standard TransSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X115 harness connector at the M72 variable power steering solenoid valve.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between the low reference circuit terminal B and ground.
- If greater than the specified range
- Disconnect the harness connector at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the low reference circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
- If within the specified range
- Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit terminal A and ground.
- If greater than the specified range
Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If within the specified range
- If greater than the specified range
- Ignition ON, test for B+ between the signal circuit terminal A and ground.
- If less than B+
- Disconnect the harness connector at the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal A and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the low reference circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
- If B+
- Test for 1.6-3.1 Ω between control terminal A and control terminal B of the harness connector at the M72 variable power steering solenoid valve.
- If not within the specified range
Replace the M72 variable power steering solenoid valve.
- If within the specified range
- If not within the specified range
- Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the M72 variable power steering solenoid valve housing case.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the M72 variable power steering solenoid valve.
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Replace the K43 Power Steering Control Module.
