2013 Buick Regal Turbo Premium, Standard TransSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the starter generator to the engine.
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. For ease of service, replace the stud (1) with a new starter generator lower bolt (2) from the parts catalog and apply medium LOCTITE to the bolt. Tighten to 58 N.m (41 lb ft).
  4. Install the starter generator lower bolts (2) and tighten to 58 N.m (41 lb ft).

  6. Remove the belt from the middle idler.
  7. Install the drive belt onto the starter generator pulley.
  8. Rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise and then install the belt around the middle idler.
  9. Remove the EN-48932Β  compressor tool (2) from the drive belt tensioner spring.
