- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the front wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement (GNA) .
- Remove the front brake shield (1).

Do not use a service jack to lift this vehicle. Lifting the vehicle with a jack could cause the vehicle to slip off the jack and roll; this could cause injury or death.
