Auxiliary Data Connector

The auxiliary data connector is a standardized 16-cavity connector. This connector shall be available on all vehicles that require service programming for controllers on the Powertrain Expansion Bus for Hybrid applications only. Diagnostics shall be available via the data link connector (DLC), and not provided via the auxiliary data connector. The pinouts for this auxiliary data connector are as follows:

  • Pin 3 High voltage energy high speed GMLAN serial bus (+) terminal
  • Pin 4 Scan tool power ground terminal
  • Pin 5 Common signal ground terminal
  • Pin 8 Ground terminal for auxiliary data connector identification
  • Pin 11 High voltage energy high speed GMLAN serial bus (-) terminal
  • Pin 12 Powertrain high speed GMLAN serial bus (+) terminal
  • Pin 13 Powertrain high speed GMLAN serial bus (-) terminal
  • Pin 16 Scan tool power, battery positive voltage terminal
