Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement .
1 Side Object Sensor Bracket

Procedure

  1. Remove the side object sensor from the bracket.
  2. Sand/grind the sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia and bracket.
  3. Clean the mounting surfaces with an alcohol wipe and allow to dry.
  4. Apply adhesion promoter, using the sponge applicator, following the manufacturer directions.
  5. Apply 2 pieces 40 mm (1 1/2 in) of acrylic plus attachment tape, black, to the bracket following the manufacturer directions.
  6. Install the side object sensor bracket to the rear fascia.
  7. Install the side object sensor.
  8. Install the rear fascia.
