CONDITION/CONCERN
Some customers may comment that the sunroof or sunshade is inoperative when the sunroof switch is pressed.
When checking for DTCs, the BCM may report U151B current or in history.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS
Engineering is aware of this condition and working on a software calibration change. Once a solution becomes available, this PI will be updated. In the meantime, the technician can complete the following procedure to resolve the concern.
- If the BCM is confirmed to be reporting DTC U151B, remove the sunroof fuse for 10 seconds.
- Install the sunroof fuse.
- Using the first detent on the sunroof glass switch (manual mode), open the sunroof glass fully.NOTE: Do not use the express open position of the switch.
- Using the first detent on the sunroof glass switch (manual mode), close the sunroof glass fully.NOTE: Do not use the express close position of the switch.
- If equipped, using the first detent on the sunroof sunshade switch (manual mode), open the sunroof sunshade fully.NOTE: Do not use the express close position of the switch.
- If equipped, using the first detent on the sunroof sunshade switch (manual mode), close the sunroof sunshade fully.NOTE: Do not use the express close position of the switch.
- Verify that the sunroof glass and sunshade (if equipped) now functions properly.
