SERVICE INFORMATION

The Ecotec 2.4L service engine will not have the intake manifold, high pressure fuel system or the ignition coils installed. These components must be transferred from the original engine. A new high pressure fuel feed pipe from the pump to the fuel rail must also be used. Do not reuse the original pipe as a fuel leak may develop.

For the 2010 model year engine, new part number 12657110, already has the correct intake camshaft and actuator in the engine. There is no need to transfer these parts when using this part number.

IMPORTANT:

The new 2.4L Ecotec Service engines DO NOT come shipped with oil.
