Front Brake Shield Replacement

Caution: Refer to Brake Dust Caution.

Removal Procedure




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Remove the front hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (4WD) Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (RWD).
4. Remove the retaining bolts for the splash shield.
5. Remove the splash shield.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the splash shield.
2. Install the splash shield retaining bolts, same as wheel hub and bearing.
3. Install the front hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (4WD) Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (RWD).
4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
