Removal Procedure

2006 Buick Terraza CXL, 3.5 L, AWDSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the bearing/hub assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - FrontΒ .
  3. Disconnect the front lower control arm ball stud. Refer to Lower Control Arm ReplacementΒ .
  4. Disconnect the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement in Power Steering System.
  5. Fig 1: Scribing Strut To Knuckle

  6. Scribe the strut to the knuckle.
  7. Fig 2: View Of Steering Knuckle To Strut Bolts

  8. Remove the bolts and nuts attaching the strut to the knuckle.
  9. Remove the knuckle from the vehicle.
