2006 Buick Terraza CXL, 3.5 L, AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the starter motor to the engine.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the starter bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Connect the starter motor electrical connector (1).

  7. Install the engine harness terminal (4) to the starter motor.
  8. Install the positive battery cable (2) and the starter solenoid BAT terminal nut (3) to the starter motor.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the solenoid BAT terminal nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPO LS4)Β  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPOs LZE/LZ4/LZ9)Β .
