  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the inside rearview mirror.
  2. Ignition ON, test for 6.8-7.2 volts between the inoperative keypad LED signal, terminal 3 green or terminal 2 red and ground.
    • If less than the specified value, test the green/red LED for an open/high resistance, or a short to ground. If circuit tests normal, test or replace the VCIM.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the green/red LED for a short to voltage. If circuit tests normal, test or replace the VCIM and the inside rearview mirror.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the inside rearview mirror.
