2006 Buick Terraza CXL, 3.5 L, AWDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Transfer the string to either end of the new hood release cable.

  3. Route the string and the hood release cable into the passenger compartment.
  4. Remove the string from the hood release cable.
  5. Seat the hood release cable grommet (1) into the cowl.
  6. Connect the hood release cable to the hood release handle.
  7. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front (Impala) or Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front (Monte Carlo) .
  8. Pull the string and the hood release cable into the engine compartment.

  10. Remove the string from the hood release cable.
  11. Install the hood release cable (1) from the hood latch (2).
  12. Install the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch ReplacementΒ .
  13. Close the hood.
