- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (L26) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) .
- Disconnect the battery positive cable from the battery.
- Remove the battery retainer bolt and battery retainer.
- Remove the battery from the vehicle.
- Remove the battery heat shield. Refer to CELL LINK .
