NOTE:
Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
- Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26 Static Fill) , Draining and Filling Cooling System (LY7 Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, LY7, GE 47716 Fill) in Engine Cooling.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor.
