Rotating the Engine for Service Access: Procedure

2006 Buick Allure CXSSECTION Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
  2. Apply the parking brake.
  3. Put the transaxle in the Neutral position.
  4. Remove the engine mount struts. Refer to Replacing Engine Mount Bracket - FrontΒ  and Replacing Engine Mount - FrontΒ .

  6. Install the J 41131Β  (2) to the engine mount strut bracket (1) and the upper radiator support (3). See Special ToolsΒ .
  7. Rotate the engine forward for component access.
