Replacing Left Engine Mount Strut Bracket: Removal

- Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26 Static Fill) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (L26, LY7, GE 47716 Fill) in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
- Remove the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Replacing Engine Mount Strut - LeftΒ and Replacing Engine Mount Strut - RightΒ .
- Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts.
- Remove the engine mount strut bracket.
