Replacing Intake Manifold - Lower: Installation

2006 Buick Allure CXSSECTION Installation

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in General Information.
  1. If removed, install the ECT sensor.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the sensor to 18 Ft. Lbs. (25 N.m).

  2. Fig 1: Water Outlet Housing, Bolt & Stud

  3. If removed, install the thermostat, the gasket, and the water outlet housing.
  4. Install the water outlet housing bolt and the stud.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt and the stud to 20 Ft. Lbs. (27 N.m).

  6. Install the lower intake manifold gaskets.

  8. Apply sealer GM P/N 12346286 (Canadian P/N 10953472) or equivalent to the ends of the intake manifold seals.
  9. Install the lower intake manifold seals.
