Replacing Front Engine Mount Bracket: Removal
2006 Buick Allure CXSSECTION Removal

- Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Replacing Drive Belt (L26) .
- Remove the A/C compressor from the engine. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L26) in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
- Secure the compressor away from the bracket area.
- Remove the engine mount. Refer to Replacing Engine Mount - Front .
- Remove the engine knock sensor shield and disconnect the sensor harness. Refer to Knock Sensor (KS) 2 Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L (L26 and L32).
- Remove the front engine mount bracket bolts from the engine.
- Remove the rear engine mount bracket bolts from the engine.
- Remove the engine mount bracket from the vehicle.
IMPORTANT:
Do not discharge the air conditioning system.
