Removal Procedure
2006 Buick Allure CXSSECTION Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (L26) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) in Engine Electrical.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the crankshaft harmonic balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the CKP sensor shield (1). DO NOT use a pry bar.
- Remove the CKP sensor studs.
- Remove the CKP sensor.
