Window Regulator Replacement - Endgate
Removal Procedure
1. Swing the endgate open.
2. Remove the regulator bolt access plugs (3).
3. Remove the endgate trim panel.
4. Remove the endgate inner panel reinforcement.
5. Remove the endgate window.
6. Remove the bolt (3) retaining the regulator to the endgate.
7. Loosen the nuts (1) retaining the regulator rails to the endgate.
8. Remove the regulator by sliding the regulator side rails up and out of the keyhole slots (2) in the gate.
9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator.
10. Remove the regulator assembly from the endgate out the access hole.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the regulator assembly to the endgate through the access hole.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the window regulator.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the regulator side rails to the endgate by inserting the nuts (1) in the keyhole slots (2).
Tighten the regulator side rail nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
4. Install the bolt (3) retaining the regulator motor bracket to the endgate.
Tighten the regulator motor bracket bolt (3) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5. Install the endgate window.
6. Adjust the endgate window fore/aft. Refer to Window Adjustment - Endgate Fore/Aft.
7. Adjust the endgate window cross car. Refer to Window Adjustment - Endgate Cross Car.
8. Adjust the endgate window up/down. Refer to Window Adjustment - Endgate Up/Down.
9. Install the endgate inner panel reinforcement.
10. Install the endgate trim panel.
11. Install the regulator bolt access plugs (3).
12. Perform an endgate window learn cycle. Refer to Window Learn Cycle - Endgate.
