Removal Procedure

- Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement (L36) in Engine Mechanical.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the camshaft position sensor (1).
- Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor retaining screw.
- Remove the CMP sensor from the engine front cover.
