Removal Procedure

- Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (L36) in Engine Mechanical.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (1) from the throttle lever.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (1) from the bracket (2).
- Disconnect the accelerator cable (2) from the throttle lever.
- Disconnect the accelerator cable (2) from the bracket (1).
- Remove the wiring harness clip (1) from bracket (3) if necessary (VIN K only).
- Remove the two bolts from the bracket.
