Removal Procedure

- Mark the location of the hinges (upper and lower) on the door.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
- Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside .
- Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the window inner belt seal strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
- Remove the window outer belt seal strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
- Remove the door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the stationary window. Refer to Window/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary .
- Remove the door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Rear .
- Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary .
- Remove the front window run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front .
- Remove the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Door .
- Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside .
- Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary .
- Remove the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
- Open the front door.
- Insert a small flat bladed tool between the door wire harness conduit (2) and the hinge pillar in order to depress and release the tab (3)
- Remove the door wire harness from the hinge pillar.
- Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.
- Remove the wiring harness clips (2).
- Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
- Remove the intermediate hinge bolts (1) from both hinges.
- With an assistant, lift the door to remove.
- Remove the door hinges. Refer to Hinge Replacement - Rear Door .
