Removal Procedure

2005 Buick LeSabre Limited, 4T65E/M15SECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Mark the location of the hinges (upper and lower) on the door.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  5. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside .
  6. Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door .
  7. Remove the window inner belt seal strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  8. Remove the window outer belt seal strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  9. Remove the door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door .
  10. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door .
  11. Remove the stationary window. Refer to Window/Division Channel - Rear Door Stationary .
  12. Remove the door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Rear .
  13. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Bottom Auxiliary .
  14. Remove the front window run channel. Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Rear Door Front .
  15. Remove the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Door .
  16. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside .
  17. Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary .
  18. Remove the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
  19. Open the front door.

  21. Insert a small flat bladed tool between the door wire harness conduit (2) and the hinge pillar in order to depress and release the tab (3)

  23. Remove the door wire harness from the hinge pillar.
  24. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness.

  26. Remove the wiring harness clips (2).
  27. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.

  29. Remove the intermediate hinge bolts (1) from both hinges.
  30. With an assistant, lift the door to remove.
  31. Remove the door hinges. Refer to Hinge Replacement - Rear Door .
