(1) Apply thread locking compound to bolt(s).
(2) Tighten bolts in sequence. See Figure.
(3) Apply thread sealant to bolt(s).
(4) Tighten bolts in sequence. See Figure.
(5) Tighten bolts in sequence. See Figure or Figure.
(6) On Camaro and Firebird, tighten vertical bolts to 11 Ft. Lbs. (15 N.m) and side bolts to 22 Ft. Lbs. (30 N.m) in sequence. See Figure. Except Camaro and Firebird, tighten bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m) in sequence. See Figure.
