Valve Spring Installed Height
2000 Buick Regal GSSECTION Valve Spring Installed Height
- Install valve, valve retainer and keepers. Pull upward on valve, and measure height from top of spring seat to spring side of valve retainer. See Figure.
- Ensure spring installed height is within specification. See VALVES & VALVE SPRINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. If measurement exceeds specification, add shims under valve spring to obtain correct height.
