Brake Pressure Modulator Valve: Removal
2000 Buick Park Avenue Base, 3.8 KSECTION Removal
- Turn ignition off. Raise and support vehicle. Remove left front wheel. Remove front fascia extension, front air deflector, left front wheelhouse extension and air injection pump as applicable. Rotate Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) connector tab up to unlock position. Remove EBCM connector assurance and disconnect EBCM electrical connector.
- Remove 2 master cylinder brake pipes from BPMV. Remove 4 wheel brake pipes from BPMV. Remove 2 BPMV mounting nuts. Remove EBCM/BPMV assembly. Disconnect BPMV electrical connector from EBCM. Remove 6 EBCM to BPMV screws and separate EBCM from BPMV.
CAUTION:
Ensure brakelines are correctly connected to BPMV or wheel lock-up will occur.
