Power Seats Diagnostic System Check

- Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If scan tool powers up, go to next step. If scan tool does not power up, go to BODY CONTROL MODULES - PARK AVENUE to diagnose communication fault.
- Attempt to communicate with Memory Seat Module (MSM) and Driver Door Module (DDM). If scan tool communicates with both modules, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with both modules, go to BODY CONTROL MODULES - PARK AVENUE to diagnose communication fault.
- Select and display DTCs for MSM and DDM. If any DTCs exist, go to next step. If no DTCs exist, diagnose by symptom. See SYSTEM TESTS .
- If scan tool displays any communication DTCs (DTCs that begin with "U"), go to BODY CONTROL MODULES - PARK AVENUE to diagnose communication fault. If no communication DTCs exist, go to next step.
- If DTC B1000 exists, go to BODY CONTROL MODULES - PARK AVENUE to diagnose ECM fault. If DTC B1000 does not exist, go to next step.
- If DTC B1328 exists, go to appropriate MANUAL or AUTOMATIC A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING. If any other DTC exists, go to POWER SEAT DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES .
