Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) inside Standard Body Module (SBM) is programmed with proper RPO configurations with information about vehicle options and point of sale (i.e. US or Canada). When SBM is replaced, new SBM must be programmed with country of sale and options. Follow scan tool instructions. If SBM is not programmed properly, vehicle will experience a no-start condition. If SBM is not configured properly, SBM will set default values for some systems, which may cause malfunctions in other systems.
