Test C: One Mirror Inoperative In Left/Right Position
1999 Buick Regal LSSECTION Test C: One Mirror Inoperative In Left/Right Position
- If left mirror is inoperative, go to next step. If right mirror is inoperative, go to step Β 4 .
- Disconnect left power mirror connector. Connect test light between left mirror connector terminal "A" (White wire) and battery voltage. See Figure . Select left mirror. Move power mirror switch to left position. If test light illuminates, go to step Β 5 . If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Check for poor connection or open in White wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "J" and left power mirror connector terminal "A". See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCHΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Disconnect right power mirror connector. Connect test light between right mirror connector terminal "A" (Red/White wire) and battery voltage. See Figure . Select right mirror. Move power mirror switch to left position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step Β 6 .
- Replace power mirror motor pack. See POWER MIRROR DRIVE MOTORΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Check for poor connection or open in Red/White wire between power mirror switch connector terminal "F" and right power mirror connector terminal "A". See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCHΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
