1998 Buick RivieraSECTION DTC C1275: Pcm Requested TCS To Be Disabled
  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition to start. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If any ABS/TCS or PCM DTCs are set, go to appropriate DTC for diagnosis. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no DTCs are set, go to next step.
  3. Clear DTCs. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition to start. If DTC C1275 resets, go to step 5)Β  . If DTC C1275 does not reset, go to next step.
  4. Start vehicle and test drive vehicle greater than 10 MPH. Repeat drive cycle sequence 2 more times. If DTC C1275 set during last 3 drive cycles, go to next step. If DTC C1275 does not reset during last 3 drive cycles, see INTERMITTENTS & POOR CONNECTIONSΒ  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
  5. Perform PCM ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If on-board diagnostic system check passes, go to next step. If on-board diagnostic system check does not pass, perform suggested repairs in self-diagnostics article.
  6. Replace EBTCM.
